My Trip to Savannah

My Sister and I just went back to Savannah for the second time.  It has to be one of my favorite places to visit.  I wanted to share some of my pictures with you.  If you haven't ever been to Savannah, I really encourage you to go.  It's absolutely beautiful!

How can you not LOVE a town with all of the beautiful squares they have.  They are like mini parks all over town.  Just gorgeous and so peaceful.
Bonaventure Cemetary, is so very beautiful, and is full of history.  We spent hours there just exploring.

My favorite place to eat was the Gryphon Tea Room.  It was unusually cold while we were there, so we had lunch there one day, and stopped for tea and dessert another day.  Such a treat!

There are numerous beautiful churches and cathedrals.
We visited several historic homes.  My favorite was Juliette Gordon Low's home.  You aren't allowed to take pictures inside, and outside was under construction.  But, I did take a picture with Juliette Gordon Low.  Hahaha!  By the way, she was the founder of the Girl Scouts.  Her life is a great story.
There are countless beautiful homes too.

You have to visit Savannah Candy Company
Savannah is quite an artsy town.  It's the home of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).  I'm proud to say that my very talented niece is about to graduate from SCAD.  Here is a display in the window of one of the SCAD buildings.

These were iridescent mirrors cut into various shapes.  Isn't it beautiful?  You can sort of see me in the mirrors above!
You can't go to Savannah and not shop at Paris Market.  I can spend hours and hours in that store.

I hope you enjoyed my pictures.  They were just taken with my iPhone, so not great.  Hope you get the chance to go visit Savannah.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love your photos and I love Savannah. I have only been there once for a wedding for an entire weekend. I love walking along the waterfront on the cobblestone streets. Another place I adore is New Orleans especially St. Charles Avenue and well most of Uptown - they have some great stores and I could spend endless hours looking at the architecture of the homes.
